Colby Simms is an internationally renowned professional angler, outdoor writer, photo journalist & seminar speaker. He is a national television personality, a famous guide, a highly accomplished tournament pro and a talented fishing tackle & outdoor product designer. Colby is well known and highly respected throughout the professional outdoor sports community.

 

Colby has appeared as a Host, Co-Host, Featured Guide, and Tournament Pro & Guest Star with many television programs, and has hosted and co-hosted national TV shows that have reached over 60 million households. Colby has also been a guest on radio and has hosted instructional DVDs. Colby is a highly accomplished professional tournament angler. He is a National Circuit Tournament Champion, Big Fish Award Recipient and World Championship Qualifier, a 2-Time State Circuit Tournament Champion, 3-Time State Championship Qualifier, Big Fish Award Recipient, 7-Time Top 10 Finisher and State Champion. Colby is a famous guide, and the founder & owner of Simms Outdoors L.L.C. which operates a large outdoor sports team of top pros, the largest and most experienced guide service on well known Kinkaid Lake, the largest guide service in the entire southern Illinois and eastern Missouri regions, and one of the largest guide service & outfitting operations covering the United States & Canada, spanning more than a half dozen states & provinces. Colby writes articles and shoots professional photography for more than 2 dozen magazines & newspapers, many with national or international distribution. He runs a professional photography business offering sales & services world wide, holds staff positions with nearly a dozen major magazines, and is the Editor In Chief of Simms Outdoors Magazine. Colby is also an outdoor sports product designer & tester, the founder & owner of the Simms Sport Fishing Tackle Company, and has held positions with nearly 2 dozen major outdoor sports companies. He is a former fishing club official and state tournament trail director. Colby specializes in bass, muskie & crappie fishing at Kinkaid Lake, IL, but is an international traveler covering the world’s best outdoor sports destinations for sponsors, magazines and television & DVD companies on assignment since 2004.
