The crappie fishing has been fair to good on Mark Twain Lake. Winter weather has arrived in Missouri and the water temperatures are falling.
Crappie anglers have had success fishing live medium minnows on bait hooks with split shot fished under slip floats. 1/16oz to 1/8oz jigs paired with small tubes in chartruse and black have also been taking some fish. Most of the bigger crappie have been coming from standing timber in deep water along creek and river channels.
